Robert Blair

Robert has twenty one years of experience in the worldwide Technology, Media and Telecoms industry; working with start-ups as well as established market leaders. Since forming RVWL he has provided Sales Enablement Programs for a range of customers including Actix, Amdocs, Apertio, RIM - BlackBerry, Cramer, Envox, HP, IBM, Intervoice, Motorola, Nuance, Telcordia and Telstra International. Clients value Robert for his knowledge of Technology in general and the Telecom industry in particular, and for his understanding of the business drivers that are shaping their customers' buying decisions.

Robert became one of the pioneers of the mobile phone industry, working in sales for Millicom International Cellular, Technophone (now part of Nokia), Cognito and Octel. His largest contract during this period was for Saudi Telecom's GSM network call answering service, worth $26million. Following this Robert successfully built the EMEA Wireless business of Tandem Computers (now part of HP). This included raising revenues by 200% and new name business by 500% in 12 months; this was achieved from sales of IN, VAS and OSS solutions. Leaving HP, Robert established the EMEA business of location-based services software supplier SignalSoft. Under his leadership SignalSoft became the top location services company in EMEA. As well as establishing the European operation he worked on a C Series funding round raising $75million and the company's successful IPO. Robert won sales with Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, Telefonica and a number of other networks, closing $14 million of new business over a 3-year period, from a zero start. Robert established RVWL in 2002.

Before building a successful business career Robert was a commissioned Officer in the Royal Artillery specialising in Air Defence. Robert attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth.


Andy Seager

Andy joined the RVWL team in September 2009. With over fifteen years experience in product marketing for the technology sector he has a proven track record in execution and management.

Andy joined from Borland Software where he was global Vice President of Product Marketing. In this role, Andy was responsible for leading the product strategy for Borland's Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions that addressed the company's vision for OpenALM.

Andy has been an agent of change for several large companies including Lucent Technologies, where he established the European Product Realisation team for service provider messaging and managed the integration of a worldwide New Product Introduction process. Following Lucent, Andy worked with start up Vivao plc as marketing director and then as European marketing director for Vitria Technology. He has been responsible for creating company, product and solution value propositions at a European level for these companies and establishing brand awareness through public communications strategies. Andy's experience also includes working as an independent consultant helping both start-up and mature companies to establish a foothold in their mass-market strategies. Working alongside investors and management teams, Andy has established value propositions for mobile applications, unified messaging, finance & management, healthcare, document management applications and contact centres.
